Producer, sound & video recordist, editor

Working with the Office of the U.S. Surgeon General, I produced, recorded, and edited 75 episodes of “House Calls with Dr. Vivek Murthy,” a bi-weekly podcast hosted by the former U.S. Surgeon General about mental health and well-being. The podcast reached an audience of more than 650,000 people globally. It is available on Apple Podcasts and Spotify.

House Calls, and its accompanying social media, reached well beyond the traditional platforms exercised by previous Surgeon Generals. The unique conversations the OSG team and I created between Dr. Murthy and his guests dug deep emotionally, to engage with people in the wake of the pandemic and in a time of enormous change in America. We held the important work being done by the OSG, such as youth mental health, as essential touchstones, while expanding into topics like healing, friendship, authenticity, and finding meaning in life. Our guests included artists, athletes, authors, scientists, and psychologists. As we grew the podcast, we focused on audience-building and honing the brand, to ensure we were focusing where our research showed it mattered most.

In addition to playing key roles in the creation of each podcast episode, I created social media assets promoting every conversation.

House Calls ran for two-and-a-half years, ending in January 2025 when Dr. Murthy left office with the outgoing Biden Administration.
